Thanks to Hong Kong Golf Club who is our sponsor of venue and facilities, Sowers Action Charity Golf Tournament 2023 will be held at the Eden Course of their Fanling Club House this year.

In the past nine years, the Sowers Action Charity Golf Tournament has enticed support from more than 966 participants and successfully raised over HK$3 million. The funds have been deployed to help improving the education and living conditions of children in impoverished areas.

Sowers Action Charity Golf Tournament 2023 would like to call upon the commercial sector and the public to join as individuals or in groups to show their love through their swings to support HK grassroots family projects and Sowers Action development fund.

捐款支持基层家庭

第五波疫情高峰时，苗圃行动展开为期3个月的紧急食物包派发活动，於深水埗丶旺角丶葵涌区接触了超过1,000户基层家庭，他们来领取物资时，常对我们说：

「我一直相信香港的社会很有爱，多谢你们，多谢苗圃行动。」
「全家人失业，全赖你们的帮忙，分担了我们生活的重担。」
「你们常担心我们物资短缺，吃不饱，着不暖。这份关怀令我们很感动。」

 

经过了3个月与基层的接触，了解到疫情下的支援只能解燃眉，他们有更多的需要。因此，苗圃行动於6月在深水埗基隆街158号开设地区服务中心，提供其他长线的支援服务。如物资援助丶自修室丶儿童兴趣班丶英文班丶家长育儿讲座丶电话聆心服务等等，从而舒缓家庭压力丶提升家长及学生的技能和成绩。

 

最近，街坊又跟我们说：

「自修室有足够的光线丶舒适的桌椅丶安静的环境… 孩子在家做功课做到晚上十时，来这里只花两小时就做完了！」
「孩子很喜欢这里的英文班，她说一堂也不想错过，也叫我准时带她来，不要迟到。」

 

能够有效回应街坊的需求，是苗圃行动的使命。可是，疫情下，筹款不容易。在缺乏捐款及经费支援的情况之下，实在是巧妇难为无米之炊。有见及此，「苗圃高尔夫球慈善赛」的筹委会，召集一众高球好手在8月24日於香港哥尔夫球会粉岭伊甸球场，为本地基层服务项目及苗圃行动发展基金。
