On 26 August 2026, a massive avalanche triggered catastrophic landslides along the northern Nepal–Tibet border. Rapid flash flooding destroyed multiple local villages, severing vital roads and communication lines. As of 27 August, over 157 lives have been lost, with hundreds remaining trapped. Affected communities face critical shortages of food, clean drinking water, and essential medical supplies.
In response to an urgent request from local authorities, Sowers Action Nepal is mobilizing immediate relief:
• Immediate Action: Releasing an initial relief fund of HK$300,000 and dispatching 180 portable solar lamps to cut-off areas.
• Ongoing Aid: Delivering continuous supplies of emergency food and essential humanitarian materials.
We sincerely appeal for your generous support. Every contribution delivers life-saving assistance and hope to those facing this catastrophe.
Disasters are ruthless, but compassion gives us strength. Please stand with us to support these communities through this crisis.
